SLICK SAVKO — Section Two's 112-pound —_ wrestling champion John Savko of the Corry Beavers will be facing his moment of truth Saturday at Erie in the District 10 mat championships to be held at Tech Memorial gym. Savko, Junior, posted the best winning percentre on Coach Bob Mul vin's Beaver squad this season (9-2-1) and was unbeaten in Section Two combat. One of his setbacks was an over-the weight match against a Mill creek opponent and his other loss was at Fort LeBoeuf. Savko faces perhaps the big gest assignment of any wrest ler In the tournament Satur day, he must face defending State Champion Terry Halse of Strong Vincent who has been beaten only once in 50 matches during his high school career. Corry’s three section champs are a part of the 12- man Section Two team which will be thrown against the best in Sections One and Three in addition to several independ ent schools to determine the championships of District 10 Which comprises the afore mentioned seasions, Curry's other Teague kings In addi tion to Savko are Bill Eaton And Ray Mitchell in the 103 and 154-pound divisions.
