Wesley J. Toenges, 57, a life long resident of Pickerel Lake township, about 644 miles south of Albert Lea, died at Naeve hospi tal yesterday at 9:45 p.m. Ite had been hospitalized for the last week, but had had a heart ail ment for the last five years. In 1954 he underwent heart surgery. Death was due to heart trouble and complications. He was born in Pickerel Lake township March 19, 1898, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Toenges. He married Hulda L. Kirk on May 16, 1918, at Pickerel Lake township. He was a farmer, a member of the First Methodist church, was clerk of school Dis trict 57 for 25 years, and a mem ber of the Shady Oaks cemetery association. His wife survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alton (Aline) Rogert, and a son, Darwin, both of Route 1. Seven grandchildren sur vive. Four sisters survive: Mrs. Mamie Loefler and Mrs. Byran Scott, both of Albert Lea; Mrs. Harry Steele, Alden; and Mrs. Henry Kluver, Lake Crystal. Twen ty-three nieces and nephews sur vive. Funeral services will be at the First Methodist church of Albert Lea Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Paul W. Neal will officiate. Burial will be at the Shady Oak cemetery. Friends may call at the Bannerup and Son Funeral’ home.
