St. Cecile and St. Andre choirs of St. Andre church .§at tended the annual banquet Sun day evening at the church hall. Robert Lacroix was the master of ceremonies. Remarks were made by Msgr. Aime Giguere, pastor of the church, and Charles Proulx, director of the mixed choir. Mrs. Charles Proulx was the general chairman in_ charge while Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lemire were on the welcoming commit tee. A program was presented and opened with community _ sing ing with Mrs. Proulx at the organ. A_ song written by Mrs. Proulx, entitled ‘La Continiere” was sung by Zoel Duguay, Mr. and Mrs. Proulx presented a play “Let’s Rehearse” written by Mrs. Proulx and Miss Helene Thivierge. A piano trio, “Over Hill and Dale” was a by Mrs. Gertrude Frechette, the Misses Alice Gagnon and Theresa Colette. Miss Vivian Boucher sang “Loveliest Night of the Year” followed by a song “Because” by Raoul Simard. Mrs. Carmen Ruel sang “Indian Love Call” and Diane and Rich ard Lemire rendered “You, You, You.” Diane Lemire then sang and danced to “Animal Crackers,” followed by a song and dance, “Tea For Two,” by Mrs. Therese Lemire. Leo Warner presented “La Donna E Mobile” from Verdi, while Miss Rita Huot and Raoul Nolette sang a duet from the op eretta, “Enchanted Isle,” based on Chopin’s music. They were ac companied by Miss Rolande Houde. Mrs. Blanche Caouette saw “The Green Cathedral,” followe by Robert Lacroix who rendered “Old Man River,” and Mrs. Alice Nolette who sang “Rites and Plears.”’ Seated at the head table were Msgr. Giguere, Rev. Leonel Mc Keone, Rev. Armand St. Amand, Rev. Normand Martel, several Brothers of the Sacred Heart and the master of ceremonies, Robert Lacroix. Table decorations were under the direction of Mrs. Alice Nol ette. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Froulx, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nolette, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Caouette, Mr. and Mrs. Zoel Dugual, Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Delorge, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dion, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Gagne, Paul Labranche and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Emile LeBlond, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Omer Lemelin, Andre Lemelin, Rene Lemelin, Normand Goulet, Mr. and Mrs. Andre Laliberte, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lemire, Robert Lacroix, Al bert Masse, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neault, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Nolette, Raoul Colette, Paul Petra, Her vey Faquette, Mr. and Mrs. Raoul Simard, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Beauchesne.
