It was my task to fix it, Scott said.“By the year 2020 the Navy’s end strength target is 325,000,” he said. “A cruiser will be crewedby only 125 to 150 Sailors, and through a global information grid the new battle space will be on the earth, undersea and outer space.The Navy needs the best talent possible to enter that battle space, and it can’t stop here, he said.Scott and Force Master Chief for Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education Michael McCalip, assisted by Command Master Chief (SS) Steve luskiewicz, Director of the SEA, then snipped the ribbon.
