Sieg Co. celebrates100 years since its ~founding during 1869The Sieg Company Is an automotive jobber — dealing in the sales of wholesale auto parts and equipment.The company opened up the Le Mars branch in May of 1950, with Irving C. Mann as the manager.Mr. Mann still holds that position, while Joe Delutri is the salesman^The first location for the Sieg budding was at 124-126 Central Ave., later, in 1964 the business was moved to liighway 75 south.As Le Mars celebrates its 100th birthday, so too, the Sieg Company is celebrating 100 years of continuous operation.It was first organized in 1869 inDavenport. Iowa.Through the years, salesmen have covered the state of Iowa, parts of Missouri. Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska. Wisconsin and Illinois.Until 1922. all products sold came directly from headquarters in Davenport.Then a branch expansion program was launched and today there are a total of 14 separately incorporated warehouses, serving 115 stores throughout Iowa, Illinois. Nebraska and Wisconsin.As Le Mars citizens rejoice in their 100 years of prosperity and growth- they also congratulate the Sieg Company in its 100 years of prosperous business.
