An Accidental Death.Lead: An accidental fall througha windlass hole in the Golden Gate workings of the Homestake mine resulted in the death of John Fitzwatcr, aged 26, a miner, who recently came here from Idaho. Fitzwatcr, with companions, had been blasting and is supposed to have made a misstep, tumbling 25 feet and landing on the back of his head, crushing his skull. He was taken to the Homestake hos pital, but lived only a few hours. He leaves a wife.
