The infallibility of Dowie has been challenged by another alleged Messiah, Mirzft Ghulam Ahmau of the Punjab, India. Mirza has defied Dowie to a duel of prayer. “Let us kneel in the dust,” says he, “and petition the Almighty that of us two whoever is the liar shall perish Qr^t.” Dowie has failod to accept this unique gauge of a battle, which will be takou by some people as proof positive that he ia a liar.
