JOHNSON'SEd. Gazette:—As there is no one in this community writing for the Gazette, I will give you a few items.Health not very good. Among the sick are W. II. House and F. J. Weeks. The good people of the neighborhood are engaged to-day in working out the latter’s crop. May God bless them.There will be an all-day Harp-sing-ingat Hopewell the third Sunday in July. All are invited to come with their books and baskets. The Editor is specialy invited, as chickens w ill beripe, and knowing how fond editors are of them.Prof. P. S. Weeks will commence his school at the Herfurth School House, 6th prox. Miss Kitty Holland will open her school at Pleasant Hill, July (1. We wish them good success.A word to J. O. McGlathery. The only thing that will harmonize our party is a primary election. Let the candidates be put out by a popular vote, then we can hope for success otherwise we will meet w ith defeat.Yours, J
