Pay as Secretary, f he-Chairman in* few pertinent remark*, stated the object fi.r which the meeting had been called, the n ’ceseity of sending dele-pates from the inland, as well as the lake and seaport V»Urrs, to thia Convention.— Messrs. Booukr slid Enos being severally eaildd upon, eddre^ed the meeting in their i!vu,il clear and forcible manner, stating the causes which had originated, and the object of ihe great Rive* and Harbor Convention, ss, to be held at Chicago* on the Sth day of July on next.w- On motion, the following gentlemen were by unanimously chosen as delegates*Lyman E.
