IROUND ROCK, Texas, June 28. (UP With every possible avenue of esoape guarded by armed posse-men, Jack Robertson, negro, took his chances in a gun battle today and lost.Fleeing from a horde of officers and citizens who wanted him for a double-shooting in Round Rock, Robertson found himself confrontedby Bailey Jester and Weaver Far-j roll, guarding tne road from State I Highway No. 2 to Pflugerville. in resisting capture, Robertson was shot in the forehead, squarely between the eyes, and killed instantly.Meanwhile, an ambulance hurried to Georgetown with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Eggai, both of whom were shot by the negro, and both of whom are in serious condition tonight in the Mat tin Hospital inGeorgetown.Robertson was killed just a few minutes after the double shooting. He had not gotten more than 10 miles when Jester and Farrell methim. Robertson's wife was in his car v, ith him.Commanded to stop, Robertson jumped out of his car and got behind it and opened fire with a pump shotgun.
