COMPENSATION PATRONS. Commissioner Lee Ott today ap proved subscriptions to the work men's compensation funds from the Terra Alta Coal Co., Terra Alta, Philippi Blanket Mill Ince., Philippi, and F. L. Conner Co., coal mining, Malden. He also awarded a pension to Mrs. Lelia Reed, widow of John Reed, of Raleigh, who was killed in the mine of the Raleigh Coal Coke Co., $29 a month for herself and $5 a month each for her two small sons. Compensation was awarded to Chas. Swears, of Moundsville, employe of the United States Stamping Co. for the amputation of an index finger, 34 weeks at $5.67, and to B. P. Franch, father of B. C. French, of Maben, who was killed in an accident in the mille of the W. M. Ritter Lumber Co., $6.50 a month until ordered other wise.
