OBITUARY OFTHEO. W. HILPERTTheodore VV. Hilpert was born in Switzerland January 31, 1864, and died at his home two miles northwest of Troy, Iowa, on June 19th, at the age of 52 years, 4 months and 19 days. He came to America with his parents in 1874. He was united in marriage with Miss Anna Trachsel on November 28,. 188(5, and to this union was born six children, Lydia E. and Win. H. of Cantril; Bertha M. of Birmingham; John A., of Storm Lake; Elmer C., of Troy. Ada G., of Pulaski, and Ida May who died in infancy.In 188(5 he united with the Mennoniie church and in later years lie placed his membership in the Troy Presbyterian church. He was a kind husband and a loving father and he leaves to mourn his loss a wife, six child-ren, three grandchildren, one sister, two brothers and a host of friends.The funeral was conducted at his late home on Tuesdoy, June 20th, by Rev. M. A. Niswander of the Mennonite church, after which he was laid to rest in the Rowe cemetery. . %*
