The Arrow of last week gives a sketch of Rev. Peter Q. Mathews, a fullblood California Indian who is pastor of the Methodist church at Tahlequah, a naan of much experience and natural abilit}*. He is a college graduate, was in the war of the rebellion in an Iowa regiment, and was teacher among the Sioux Indians in 1876, at the time of the bat-tie of Little Big Horn, where Gen. Custer and his men were wiped out of existence. Mrv Mathews delivered the decoration day address in the national cemetery at Fort Gibson this year, which was one of the best ever listened to there.
