St. Mary's Catholic Church in Corwith was the setting for the 10 o'clock nuptial mass of Mary Louise Knutson and John Gordon Hobscheidt in a double ring care~ mony Saturday, June 17, 1967. Father Thomas O'Toole offici ated, The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Halliday of Humboldt. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hob scheidt of Corwith, Mrs. James Devine organist, furnished nuptial music and ac companied Charles Widen solo ist as he sang ‘Sancta Maria,”’ after the ceremony. As the bride placed a bouquet of white daisies on the Blessed Virgin Mary, he sang ‘‘My Lord, My God, My All. Steven Johnson, David De Groote, ‘Joe Nord, and Dennis Hobscheldt served as altar boys. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore a floor length sheath gown of white organza, Alencon lace motifs accented the bodice, sleeves and skirt, . The silhouette of the skirt was en hanced with a detachable train. The bride's illusion veil was held in place by a white organza pillbox. She carried a bouquet of white bridal roses. Miss Diane McLaughlin of Fort Dodge, a friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Brides maids were Miss Karen Knutson, sister of the bride, and Miss San dra Bloomauist of Lake Crystal, Minn., cousin of the bride. The attendants wore identical floor length sheath gowns of mint green and white taffeta with a white organza overlay. Their bouquets were of white daisy-mums and green bows, Ronald Root of Wesley, friend of the groom, was best man, Jim Sloan of Gorwith and Bruce McCullough of Fort Dodge were groomsmen. All wore dark suits, Ushers were James Knutson, brother of the bride, Bill Mc Cullough, Ivan Frey, and Rick Hasworth, friends of the groom. The bride's mother wore a mint green sheath crepe dress with a matching lace jacket with white accessories. The groom’s moth er wore a three-piece light blue lace dress with white acces sories. Both wore corsages of white roses. A luncheon reception for 125 guests was held at Johnny’s Steak Harbor in Humboldt following the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schwering of Duncombe, friends of the couple, served as ‘dining room host and hostess. Miss Donna Cran was in charge ‘of registering the guests. Caring for the gifts were Dawn Bloomquist, aunt of the bride, and Shirley Bloomquist, cousin of the bride. Donna Cran also assisted, Mrs. Alfred Clark of Colo rado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Donald Bloomquist of Lake Crys tal, Minn, aunts of the bride, cut and served the wedding cake. Jer! Schwering served the punch to the guests, Kathyrn obscheidt of Murry, Ned,, aunt of the groom, and Helen Faw gett, friend of the bride, poured the coffee. The bride made her going away dress of mint-green linen sheath, wearing white accessories and a white rose corsage.
