relatives and friends brought their lunch and visited Mr. and Mrs. L. K. Upheim, it being their fifty second wedding anniversary. Pic tures were taken and they all left wishing Mr. and Mrs. Opheim many happy returns of the day. Andrew Brodale of Latimer, came Thursday for a visit with friends in Bode. The Humboldt Furniture Co. an nounces in their change of adv. this week that their Home Lovers Popularity Contest is extended to Wednesday, July 3rd. They also announce an extra 10 percent dis count on all furniture until that time next week. The Green Clover 4-H club of Delano Township met at the home of Arloine Olson Wednesday, June 19th. There were six members and one visitor present. The Bode Independenct baseball team was organized for the sum mer, consisting of an all home team with Arne Sorlien and Sig espeland to do the pitching which promises a winning team. The boys will appreciate your attend ance at their games. The first name will be played at Bode, July 4th, when they will meet the fam ous St. Joe team, which will be called at 1:30 P. M. L. 8B. Gangestad was brought home from the Lutheran hospital on Monday by Undertaker R. A. Skaugstad with his leg in a cast after seventy-three days stay at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge after breaking his left leg caused by a fall from his back porch. He is getting along nicely, but it will probably be some time before the cast is taken off and he can come down town and greet his many friends. His son, Leon, accompan ied the ambulance to bring him home. Merle Wilderman, manager of the Davenport Elevate: Co, in forms us that after demolishing their old warehouse and they are now erecting a century office and warehouse six and are half feet north of the track of the Rock Is land north of the depot and live with the business blocks on main street They will alto erect a scale north of the building seven teen and one-half feet long, cap able of weighin the large truck loads of grain when they come in. Result of Junior Baseball Drawings Last Tuesday night drawings were made for the elimination finals of the Humboldt County tournament. There are three Junior teams in Humboldt County, Renwick, Humboldt and Bode. One of these teams will represent the county at the District tournament. A round robin tournament will be played: Bode plays at Humboldt Thursday, Humboldt plays at Renwick Friday and Renwick plays at Bode Monday.
