A Surprise Party;On flast Friday evening, Jan-itnary 21, a crowd of about 25 young folks gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs Frank Jones, inw honor of Miss Ruby CunninghamOverton Decker and Frank Jones♦whose birthdays came on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd ittft respeo-tively. Hftiby and Overtont»nt with tfrp intentipn of having choir practice, but upon, arriving foud that they needed no song book, while Mr Jones was also as much surprised.Those present were, Messrs Overton Decker, Paris Cunningham, Burl Rumble, Albert Me-Neece, Everett Jones, and JohnThomas; Misses Ruby and Hallie Cunninghm, Callie Mae and Carrie Sullivan.Mabel Weitzel, Dora Grubb, Elsie McNeece, Dora, Bessie and Blanche Jones, Ruth Brice, Delphia Briner, Myrtle and Lottie Pearson, Effie andDella Hay s The evening was spent in playing games, social chat and music both vocal and instrumental- At about ten o’clock, refresh-ments, consisting of ice creamcake, bananas and lemonade weieserved ^All had a jolly good time and at a late hour de*parted for home wishing Miss Roby, Overton andMr Jones many more happybirthdays.
