SOMETHING NEW IN THE WAY OF CURING DISEASES, Institute Has Been Established on Lower 24th Street. The hydrotherapy treatment, some thing new In the way of treatment for the ills that assail the flesh, has been Instituted in the rooms at 277 Twenty fourth street under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vance, graduate of hydrotherapists. In this treatment no drugs are used. Massages, oil rubs, electric light baths, electrohydric babs, electrical treat ments, lot and cold sprays, revulsion hose douches, salt glows, blanket ‘packs, fomentations, cold mitten fric tions, Swedish movements, shampoos, photophor treatment, slit baths and other treatments after the same order will be given. It is claimed by the advocates of this thopthod of treatment that the powers latent in the bosom of old mother na ture are all sufficient for the cure of bodily ills. The rooms are fitted up with the necessary appliances for the treatment of people troubled with rheumatism and all the tlis resultant from a poor circulation of blood. The cabinet for the electric light bath is hexagon shaped, lined with fubrers so arranged as to reflect each Night fifteen times, making an apparent talsal of four hundred and fifty electric lights. This apparatus has proved to be of great value in the treatment of chronic theumatism and other diseases in which the skin and kidneys are de ficient in action.
