To talking to a close friend in Cin cinnati several days ago the Hon Waller Sharp, of Bath county, said he had about made up his mind to be come a candidate for the Democratic nomination for Congress in the Ninth District. The Hon. J. N. Kehoe, of Mason county, also may run, and if he does, the race will be between these two gentleman, both of whom are very strong. The Hon. Charles B. Poyntz, of Ma son, Who in one of the State Election Commissioners, says that Dr. Kehoe would be 500 votes stronger than an other Democrat in the District. They are from the same district. Mr. Sharp was the Representative from Bath county in the last Legisla ture. He sa easily worth a quarter of a million dollars, and had spent as much money on his friends who sought office as any other man in Eastern Kentucky. While in Mt Sterling a few days ago Mr. Sharp said he would announce in a week or ten days whether he would make the race.—Courier-Journal. Win your battles against disease by sosing promptly.
