Bod lit.—The following items in re- 1 gard to Bodie are taken frorn a let Ur j written by a well-known Piotber:] There are about one thousand men workiog for wages, aod I believe about fire hundred looking for employment, bot are unable to get |it. Bodie now looks as Ptocbn did 10 71 and 72 A large number of men are arriving daily, the greater portion of whom are burs ted. but after a tew days rest they have to straighten up and walk out.'for I can assure von that it is kind of bard to get grub at Bodie without money. To© htnndnrd and Bnlwer are dividend paying aines. Thou wo have the Coo. Facific, Blucklmwk, Summit, Tioga and Bluff. Then oomet the great Bodie mine, south of the Standard, with its pure nuggets of gold. Then wo have all tbost* mines south of the Bodio mine, located on Silver Hill, and extend an far as Mono Lake, among which are the Noonday, Queeu Bet*. Dudley aud Addendo, ©nob producing from fire to six tons per day. All of tbo last mentioned lumen yield about equal of both ailver and gold, witb the cxcoption of the Addenda, which is entirely a silver-producing mine. The prospect of Bodie at present cannot lie surpassed. I firmly believe in a short time that Mono county is going to be the greatest mining region on this Coast.
