Mrs. s Suiter died In 1940.Mayor, Senator, JudgeJudge Suiter served as mayor of Wlnnsboro from 1909 to 1914, when he was nominated State Senator. He served eight years as senator, 1915 to 1923, and was a member of the legislature which Impeached Gov. Jim Ferguson.In 1928, as Wood County Judge, Suiter was Instrumental in securing the paving of Highway 37 in the county. This was Winns* boro’s first hard-surfaced highway.Judge Suitor retired from active practice several years age, but continued to be a familiar and highly respected figure a-mong Wlnnsboro residents.Services WednesdayFuneral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the First Methodist Church, Winns-boro. the ftev. ftuist Wilson and the Rev.
