Kay. near Six Mile, onTuesday night, June iMh, about. 1lt;o’clock. She had been in failing health lor a number of years, and (he lt;ml was not unexpected. She was a daughter of David Robinson, and was horn in Anderson county January *», Is;Id, and was So years old. About twenty years ago she was married to ( layton X. Reid, being his second wife, and she survived him by six years. There were no children by this marriage, but Mr, Ueid leit three children by his first marriage, all of whom are still living, For the past several years she has made her home with Mr, Kay. She was confined to her bed for about seven weeks. She was long a member of Carmel Presbyterian church, and attended the celebrated school of Prof. •I. D. Kennedy, The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at Fail view Methodist church, conducted by her pastor. Rev. John C. Hailey, in the presence of a large concourse of 1 | sorrowing friends. She was laid to ; rest by the side of her husband.
