Jonathan Gregg lt;Jonathan Gregg, a highly respected and well known resident of this coun- j ty, died at the home of bis daughter, Mrs. Henry V, Diilman, near Oakiey, j yesterday morning at two o’clock, after a continued illness from a com-1 plication of troubles. He was aged about 71 years, and was well known j in Chariton, he having lived here with his daughter for some time, moving with them to the farm only this year. He was a s plendid gentleman,a Quaker by birth and profession, and a useful and honorable member of society. His wide circle of friends throughout the country will be grieved to hear of his death, which, though not unexpected by those who knew his condition, was a surprise to the public in general. Funeral services will be held at the Diilman home today, and interment will be made at the Chariton cemetery. Besides Mrs. Diilman, deceased is survived by two other children, Park Gregg, of Carlisle and Mrs. Emma Lunney, of Mt, Ayr.
