seen or heard of him.— a - —---As delegates to tne Convention our old friends E, Rodman Drinker, of Blootnsburg, and Peter Baldy, jr., of Danville, Pa., were also in the city. Both having been agreeable companions of our youth, we found them none the less so for the few gray hairs now intruding. Mr. Drinker is the General Superintendent of the Irondale Iron Works, at Bloomsburg, where for twenty-live years he has held a responsible position, and the success of the works speaks volumes for his experience and faithfulness. Under the lead of that prince of iron men, Col. Charles Paxton, Mr. Drinker may be said to have graduated with the highest honors. Mr. Baldy is one of the leading mer* shantsof Danville, and like his father, Peter Baldy, sr., is careful and shrewd, yet honest to a cent. Both Mr. Baldy and Mr. Drinker are prominent men in the Episcopal church, and earnestly engaged in its various good works.-Scranion Times.
