Indeed, the Methodists have ' done much for literature, here, in this way. Hence when we hear the sarcastic and virulent -ernrk of the sceptic against Sunday Schoab, we are inclined to the belief that, his opposition to that institution, and his1 neglect of the Sabbath generally, grow out of his inveteracy to Christianity. For, the use cf letters is the principal thing that distinguishes a civilized people from a herd of sa roges, incapable of reason or reflection.
