Russ Meyers 22nd movie centers on a handsome but thick-headed male, Lamar Shedd, whose sexual hangups are straightened out by his encounters with females of such unlikely names as Eufaula Roop and Flovil-la Thatch. Meyer s films feature buxom women as their stars and often have a raunchy rural humor similar to Erskine Caldwell’s “God’s Little Acre.’’ Despite their adolescent humor and unsophisticated characters, Meyer's films, such as “Vixen” and “Beyond the Valley-of the Dolls,” began to make skin flicks acceptable viewing for couples long before Linda Lovelace became a household word.
