There were 24 n attendance to enjoy ielidous 6 o’clock dinner with Mrs. Shirley Riggle assisting Mrs. Meddock. A business meeting followed with Mrs. Madge Morrison, president, presiding. Some of the items considered were, Church breakfast in August, Booth at the Borough’s celebration in August, a gift for the painting of the church buildings, the Bazaar at the Methodist Nursing Home in Meadville on July 22nd.For the program “Varieties In Service” Miss Rachel Wood was in charge with other ladies assisting. A short Quiz from “Response” was given by the Missionary Secretary. A Hand Clasping circle with all joining in the song “Blest Be The Tie TTiat Binds” concluded the meeting. This concluded the meetings for the summer but they will resume again in September.Word has been received here of the birth of a baby girl, Marcella Dawn, to Mr.and Mrs. Danny Cogar of Sutton, West Virginia. Mrs. Cogar will be remembered as Miss Rita Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson of Anchor Street. Mrs. Anderson has just arrived home after having spent a week at the Cbgar home.Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Smith and daughter Susan, from Joliet, Illinois, have beenspending some time visiting at the homes of Mr. Smith’s mother Mrs. Sarah Smith of Clarendon, and Mrs. Smith’s father, Mrs. Sherm Dodge of Trueman.Edward Sleeman, who lives in Torrance California, is expected to arrive this week end to spend a three weeks vacation at the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs. John Sleeman.Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kennedy from Springville, Ohio, are spending some time visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.O. McBride.Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson and family from Johnsonburg, spent the weekend at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson.At the last meeting of the Marshall Larsen Auxiliary Post 314, it was decided not to hold regular meetings during July because of vacations. The annual picnic will be held on August 3rd, place to be announced later. On June 29th all ladies are to go to the Barley Nursing Home for a picnic with Mrs. Minnie Vicini at 5 p.m. Bring a tureen.
