Y.t June 25.— Lawrence Kubal, 2ti. a farm laborer who, police said, confessed to the murder of Mrs. Minnie S. Bartlett, wealthy widow, in hc*r home hero last Wednesday, was formerly charged with the crime early today after he had repeated his statement to District Attorney Weeks.Kubal s alleged confession contained the statement that he killed Mrs. Bartlett with a chisel while on his second visit to the house under pretext of purchasing the property.He was said to have told the police he had asked Mrs. Bartlett for $5 *® and that she refused. She twirled a fountain pen nervously and this caused it to come into his mind to kill her, according to tin* police.Kubal was born in Poland and has a wife and two children.
