Death of Mr. BirchfielMr. I. N. Birehllel, one of the leading farmers of Burton township died at his hoint* near Raiford, on last Sunday after an illness of several months. The funeral was held at the home on Wednesday and was conducted hv Rev. Buhis, followed by the burial ceremonies of I lie local Masonic order of which Mr. Rireh-flel was a member, about fifteen members of tl e order attending.The funeral was attended by a large number of people as the do-ceased was well known over that part of the county, he having been a resident of that community for a large number of years, where he has occupied positions of responsibility and trust among .his neighbors, and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him.The remains were buried in the Mellette cemetery.The Democrat joins in extending sympathy to the family in this hour of their bereavement.
