Anna P. Sill, the founder of the Rockford female seminary, died Tuesday of last week at the age of 74. She was born at Burlington, N. Y., in 1815. In 1844 she started her school for young ladies in Rockford, which she successfully conducted for forty years, retiring from the work in 1884. Hers was a long life, tilled with noble aims and purposes, and the good seed sown by her in many a heart is bearing fruit today in homes all oyer the nation.
