Pollock were appointed a committee to visit the churches of this Presbytery that arp delinquent in the matter of ministerial sup? port, and bring them, if practicable, to a right state of mind, and a right course of action in regard thereto.On motion, Presbytery ordered the pastors and stated supplies within our bonnds to present the subject of Foreign and Domestic Missions to their people at stated times, making it at such times the special theme of Intercession and Prayer (or the outpouring of God’s Spirit upon heathen bnda, and for the spread of the Gospel throughout the world.The subject of the necessity and propriety of obtaining an Evangelist to labor within thq bounds of this Presbytery according to the re: commendations of the General j^sembly, and of the practicability of so uniting the present nomselfrsustaining churches as to produce greater results from the labors of ministers, were referred to Revs. John W. Pugh, A. 1). Pollock, and John W. McMurran, with ruling elders J. R. Tucker and John Baker as % Committee to report to the next meeting of Presbytery.The following supplies were appointed for vacant churches, viz: Rev. J. \v. Lupton, one Sabbath in June at Lovcttsville, and one Sabbath in July at Poolesville; Rev. E. If. Cumpston, one Sabbath in .July and one Sabbath in August at Poolesville; Rev. C. II.
