June 20. 1849. Ilon. George A Coe, of Branch County, was elected President, E. 11. Iiallard, of the 1st Congressional District, R. W: Coe, of the 2d, and Clark Beardsley, of the 3d, were du'y elected VicePresidents.Wm. M. Thompson, of Oakland, and L.B Brown ^.f Jackson counties were ou mo tion chosen Secretaries.On motion of L. H. Parsons,Resolved, Thnt a committee of one from each Congressional District be appointed by tlio clnnrid examine the credentials oi membersclaimiugscats in this convention.The chair appointed as such Committeethe following named gentlemen:1st Dist.—Wm. A. Howard,2d Franklin Mussy,Jd “ Z B Knight.On motion of H. I) Terry, the convention adjourned to inert at the llall of the Empire Block, ai half past one o’clock P. M.112 o'clock. P. M.
