DUBLIN.Laft Tuefday one Pendergaft, a fellow that ufed to hawk Meat about the Streets, and another Man went into an Ale-houfe, in Anger-ftreet, and ai ter having drank a Quart or two ot Ale, \yere for going a way wkhout paying their Reckoning, the Ho-ftefs was tor arguing the Cafe with them, and a poor old Woman,whole Employment was to blow the Bellows of the Organs atSt. Peter’s Church, unfortunately fitting at .the Door, endeavour’d likewifc to perfuade them to Pay for the Liquor, by telling them it was a Sin and a Shame to go away without paying the Reckoning. Upon which Pendergaft took the poor Creature by the Shoulder, and gave her a Cant into the Street, by which Means her Skull was broke, of which Wound fheinftantly died. The fellows were lecured, and Thurfday being the firft Day of Oyer and Terminer they were arraigned tor laid Murder, and Yefterday they were Tried, and Pendergaft was found Guilty of Man-flaughter by Accident. The two Fonts were likewife tried for Robbing Mrs. Ormsby on Ufhers-Kcy, and found Guilty of fa’d Fafc.
