,Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olier, and three children, who were burned out in a recent fire at Port Alexander, experienced tragedy again last week shortly after they left Peters burg. Their trailer, Blue Bell, struck a rock and sank in Thorne Bay. The family was saved by Coast Guard heli copter. The boat was a total loss. A month ago the Olivers, Mr. Oliver’s mother and an other Port Alexander family all lost their homes in a fire at Port Alexander. The Ol ivers had some personal ef fects stored in Ketchikan, ac cording to word here, but a fire struck the warehouse resilting in further loss. This week the Olivers went to Wrangell where Mr. Oliver hopes to find temporary em ployment. Salvation Army Lt. Bob Russell announced this week that those who would like to contribute to help the family may leave donations with the Salvation Army. The Rotary Club raised funds this week at its regular meeting. Others are being urged to contribute.
