C. — A frail, wispy eight - year - old Franklin County girl who, doctors say, has only a few weeks to live, journey ed here last night to be healed at the hands of a traveling evangel ist, Little Carol Stubler, of 358 Tol berg Avenue, Chambersburg, is suffering from leukemia (cancer of the blood), and last night she was assured the disease will spare her life. Carol made the 170-mile round trip by auto with her mother, Mrs. Ruth Stubler, and a cousin, Helen Johnson, of Chambersburg, to at tend a final-night mass meeting of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship in Constitution Hall. Mrs. Stubleraye of 15 per sons called to the stage from the throng of 2000 worshipers gathered herero for all parts of the country. Tears streamming from her face, she appeared with her daughter before the Rev. William Branham, noted revivalist of Jeffersonville, Indi HEALING PRAYERS The brown - eyed little girl stood mutely before the minis ter and the huge crowd as the evangelist prayed over her. The mother broke into sobs when the minister said: “Your child has leukemia and doctors give her only’ one month to live.”’ Mrs. Stabler said, yes, that was true, doctors said that‘al most all hope had gone, Carol has been under the care of a specialist at the St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia. She has lost so much weight that she had difficulty walking onto the stage. As the minister said the child would be healed, the auditorium of Constitution Hall broke into a roaring chant. Mrs. Stabler said later that she has full faith in the minister’s pro nouncement. Carol is scheduled to visit the hospital in Philadelphia on Monday for a check-up.
