4 Place That aas Long Been a Home for Many. IN BUSINESS TWENTY YEARS, House Has Good Reputation Student Rule Over Other Rail road Notes. Even some of the railroad men are glad that the old landmark, the t Pau! parsenger depot, is to be replaced by a more modern structure that there are many of them who have long called that place home and they do not feel so jubilant. Mr. Peck, who has been the proprietor of the hotel part of the depot for the 120 years, is among there who Will notice the change. Mr. Peck isn known by almost every rail road man in the aretion of the country. He has always been kind, considerate and generous and It is said that he haa often dished up a meal to one of the boys when the latter did not have any money. He has been a bountiful provider and him boarders got the heat in the market. It has been arranged that he shall vacate the depot about the first of July, but of late it she decided that the passenger depot should be the last of the old structure to be torn down so the railroad men can enjoy Mr. Peck's “goodies” for a ronger. Warren King and King, both old conductors on the St. Paul road, have made their home with Mr. Peck since he started in nose. An yet he has not made @hy future plane RAILROAD NOTES. The student rush is over. This year's business excelled that of the previous year. Adolph Merta, call boy of the Weet St. Paul depot, is preparing to journey to N. Dakota, where we will spend two months among friends and relatives. Chas, Green, depot agent at Spring Green, was in the city yesterday The special train carrying the band and lecturer went out by the Banta Fe for the purpose of advertising the ad vantages of Coronado Tent City, Cali fornia, as a summer resort. Is proving a great euceene. Audiences of 5,000 persona have been frequent.
