With food boo da of music and I •bowy uniforms they attracted much attention, I and »ere universally admired. IHaring no military companies in Burlington I st whose door we could lay the duty of tender- I tag the hospitalities, and welcoming our vistori I to the city, that duty to the regret of many, was I not performed at all. Not that there was not a I moit hearty welcome felt, but there was no one I si band to give to it proper expression and a Iform of words. IThese companies are under the command of ILieut. Bryner, and consist of the INational Blues, Lieut. Bryner. I *Peoria Guards, Cap*. Baker. IPeoria Rifiea, Capt. Breohler. ILafayette Kitiew, Capt. Louder. I (The several Companies contain a body of fine I 1 intelligent looking men, whose presence baa I uuparted a gay appearance to our town. Their I Bands here treated ua to the best of music.Last night there was a dance at Mozart Uall, I which we doubt not was very largsly attended. I We hope, and doubt not, every attention wiljl be paid to our visitors during their slay in Bur-1ling ton. IIt is unfortuaare that Marshal Endslsy was not spokeu to. fie says nothing was Mid 1 to him about receiving the Military or he 1 would have properly attended to that duty ! 1
