His Majesty’s Ship Bitterz arrived on Wed nesday from Demerary (which place she left the preceding Sunday), and sailed from hence the same day for Martinico.—The following is a copy of an authentic paper brought by the above vessel ! «A black man, who came from Surinam in a flag of truce with nine English prisoners, on Sun day the 24th of March last, says, the Dutch Squadron, consisting of the Pollux of 44 guns, the Yagar of 36, Young Peter ldand of 24, the Tris of 20, and a Schooner of 14 guns, called the Flying Fish, sailed from thence on the 21st of March for Holland without any convoy; that on Tuesday the embargo was taken off, when 68 gun of Americans left that port for America, under convoy of the Portsmouth Frigate. ‘The force at present,there consists of four Spanish Fri gates, three of 40 and one of 44 guns; they ar rived about seven weeks ago, and brought 600 of the Walloon Guards, who are now very sickly. The Spaniards are preparing to sail for the Ha vannah on or before the 16th of April; the Dutch took with them no produce.”
