Oaks Snap Losing StreakBy BOB REILLYAfter failing to score for six innings, the Oak Forest Oaks exploded for three runs in the seventh frame to take a 3-1 thriller from the Flossmoor Bisons in Southwest Colt league playThe win snapped a two game losing streak for the Oaks and kept them in contention for the league championshipRich Lucchesi was credited with the win, in what was a strong pitcher's duel Mark Havens of the Bisons took the defeat, despite hurling a shutout for six inningsTHE BISONS were the first team to score, breaking the ice in the third With a runner on second as a result of a fielder's choice and stolen base, Tom Dobrez singled home the lead run Flossmoor tallied again, however, as Dobrez w as thrown out trying to stretch his single into a double.The next three inning* remained scoreless, until the seventh, when the Oaks staged a dramatic finish Jeff Massey made It all the way to third, via a base hit and subsequent error. Mike Gorsczykz then walked, enabling Jeff Parkhurst to drive home the winning runs with a single.A ground out easedFlossmoor s problem for a moment. but a walk by Ed Drozd put Oaks on first and second A delaved double steal advancedthe runners, and Mike Malloy ran out an infield hit to score Parkhurst with the insurance runLucchesi blanked the Bisons in the last inning, striking out the last tw-o batters to preserve the victory
