Despite the fact that predictions had picked the last two weeks as the end of the wheat harvest in this area, the grain has contin ued to come in to Winters eleva tors. No big rush has been on, but the flow has caused the rail road to continue the extra work required to move the wheat. J. C. Jarrell, station agent for the Abilene Southern which serves Winters, said Wednesday that 238 cars of grain had been shipped out of local yards. Of these, 163 cars have been wheat, Jarrell said, “the most wheat ever to leave Winters.’’ He predicted that when the final loading is made, a total of 250 cars of grain will have been moved from Winters.
