Rev. and Mrs. Arthur Howell, of Bringhurst, wish to announce the marriage of their son, Rev. Gay lord Howell, of Westville, Ind, to Betty J. Long, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Long, of Ter re Haute. The wedding took place in the Bringhurst Methodist church on June 11th, and the double ring ceremony of the Methodist ritual was pronounced by the groom’s father, Rev. Arthur Howell. The bride is a graduate of the Valley high school and since graduating has been cashier in the Kroger- Oakley Store in West Terre Haute. The groom is a graduate of De Pauw University and at present is attending Garrett Biblical Institute. He is now pastor of the Westville Methodist church where they will live in the parsonage. Dr. E. H. Brubaker, local physic ian, was in a critical condition from loss of blood Tuesday following an operation at the Home hospital, Lafayette. He was given blood plasma and on Wednesday was giv en a blood transfusion. He is now reported as somewhat improved.
