MAST BUS—Hen 17 JJsisUrs, better known as Judge Masters, died at the home ot his daughter, Mrs. Andrew Clark, in Spring Creak township last Monday at I a. m., and the funeral was held at 1 p, m. Tuesday. Mr. Masters was one of the pioneers of that portion of the county, coining here lul853 or 1851.1 lie at one time ran a small saw mill, on Spring Creek and operated it until about the time of the war, lie was the father ot Mrs. Andrew Clark, of Spring Creek, and ef two sohb, John, who lives in Canada, and Simon, who lives iu Emmet county, lie also leaves two sisters iu L’ennsylvania, one brother, David Masters, living in Soring Creek, and two sisters in Waterloo, Mrs. J5, McCormick and. Mrs. Catherine Lynn. The funeral was held from the residence of Mrs. Clark, in Spring Creek, and the interment wan in Spring Creek cemetery.Deceased would have been 77 years old next August.
