Death of Judge LudluuiA telegraphic dispatch received yesterday afternoon from Asa Le Fever, Esq., of this county, announces the sudden death in H**alds-burg, California, of Hon. Gabriel W. Ia'D-ll’m, a well-known resident of this place.Judge Lodluin was born ut Wantage, Sussex county, N. J., in tiie year 1«01. He was a graduate of Union College, in this State. He Jtudied law with Judge Haggles and lion. A. Bruyn Hatthrouck, and commenced the practice of the law in Shawangunk, Ulster county. He afterward* removed to Goshen, Orange county, and thence to Woodburn, Sullivan county, where he was elected to the office of County Judge. He subsequently raided at Napaooch in this county, and in 1851 came to Koodoat and made it hi* home. About two j year* ago, for the lcneflt of hi* health and in the priMecuiiou of a loug cherished desire to; see tiie western part of our country, he went to California, where be died on Thursday last of heart disease, after a brief illness, in the 72nd year of hi* age.
