Esquivel struck out 10 in the game, while walking only four.Offensively, Esquivel added a double to the ace attack, driving in one of their two runs.In the other Ace victory, a 6-1 decision over the Braves, the pitching team of Ron and Gilbert ViHapando proved the decisive factor. Gilbert went five innings, allowing just three base hits to collect thewin, while Ron came on to pitch two innings of hitless relief.The Aces also benefited/from three Brave errors, with Ron Villapando stroking the Aces’ only extra-base hit of the game.In other Babe Ruth action, the Orioles rebounded from their shutout to shell the Tigers 13-3. Allen and Steve Felix were the big offensive guns for the Orioles, with Allen lashing two singles and a double and Steve picking up a single and a double.Mark Macias and Mike Munson combined for a one-hitter, in the contest, which the Orioles salted away in a five-run third inning.Tiger pitching also took a beating from the Astros, who pounded out 15 hits in an 11-3 triumph. Paul Rodriguez and Art Robles had three hits apiece for the winners and Chris Sanchez and Robert Pena each rapped a pair.The Astros gave starting pitcher Tony Luguna the only \ cushion he needed when they erupted for seven runs in the fourth frame.Shelling four pitchers for 17 hits, the Orioles mauled the Braves 17-5.
