June’s second wedding of interest at the Baptist church joined Mr Faye Louise Shipes_and Charles Lewis Keen last Friday evening before an aeute Lane beautifully decorated church. e le was unite Pastor James H. She was wearing ivory satin, designed with Queen Ann lines, with illusion conc ~ ttety i was —_ by a cluster of orange red a white aid white roses, set with tuber rose le and white , with a streamer e maid ond was the bride’s sister, Miss Barbara Ann Shi who was clad in lavender taffeta, carrying a helvaet at yellow gladioli. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Harold Blunt, sister of the groom, in blue taffeta, offset with pink gladioli, and Mrs. Eugene Sutley, another sister of the ‘bride, wearing yellow taffeta with orchid gladioli. Mr. George Keen, brother of the groom, served as best man. Flower girls were Miss Dickie Jean Reich and Miss Sharon Kay Reich, Orlan do, nieces of the bride. Nuptial music was played by Mrs. Florence G. Hanscom at the organ, and Miss Delphia Norman sang “I Love You Truly” and “Because.” Ushers were Donald Hogsett, Chris Jacobsen, Richard G. Shipes, Jr. and William Lofroos. Parents of the couple were in the receiving line during the reception held in the social rooms of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Shipes and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Keen, greeted the out-of-town guests along with the bride and groom. Serving at the punch bowl were Miss Gladys Irene Crane and Miss Sally Strite, while Mrs. W. B. Law rence and Mrs. Harold Larsen served the tiered wedding cake. Mrs. R. W. Reich, Orlando, sister of the bride, was in charge of the bride’s book. Among the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Annie Cook, Mr. T. H. Cook, Orlando; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jaeggers, Leesburg; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Keen, their son, Jerry; Mr. B. S. Keen, and Mr. R. D. Patterson, Lake Wales; Rev. and Mrs. Herman Collins, Miss Zola Collins, Miss Ada Merle Collins, Auburndale, Rev. and Mrs. Charles Crofton and Miss Alberta Crofton, Tampa. Both Mr. and Mrs. Keen are graduates of Mount Dora High school. Following their short honey moon, they are now at home at 1021 E. Third av., Munt Dora. Kendall Jones, Mrs. James Cooper, Mrs. William Stewart, Mrs. William Prinz, Mrs. Reggie Parker and Mrs. Max. Bulske, the younger Mrs. Brown's mother. The guest of honor won first prize at bridge. OOL Here to visit his grandfather, Frank Cornish, is Ross Hockemeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mart Hockemeyer of Fort Wayne, Ind. Mrs. Hockemeyer, who was a winter visitor in Dora, is a daughter of Mr. Cornish. 000 Their departure by air last week for Lakewood, Ohio, was marked with many promises that they would return next season, as the visit of Mrs. Harry Musson and her daugh ter, Marjorie Ann, came to a close. They were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. on of Eighth av onc Mrs. Elizabeth Tower, Sylvan Shores, left Wednesday for Cleve land for a short visit before she goes on to Lake Placid for the main sum mer holiday.
