Services Are Held For Durant FarmerA. B. Melton Dies In Jackson HospitalFuneral services for Allen Bird Melton. 69, Durant RFD farmer and a lifetime resident of the county, who died Monday at the Baptist hospital. Jackson, after an illness of eight months, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at \h* residence of E. E. Melton with the Rev. J. M. Metz in charge. Burial was in Blister cemetery.Mr. Melton, who was unmarried, was taken to the Baptist hospital on Sunday. He leaves as j four brothers. E. E., W. M.# and* C. Vf. Melton of Durant; and W. W. Melton of Tampa. Florida. His only sister. Mrs. Angie Melton Crawford. Durant, preceded him in death about one year.Southern Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
