Dr. William Barlow. C.M.G., has bcon vice-chancellor of the Adelaide University since 1 H9i», and he was at one time chancellor of the Diocese. He was born at Dublin in 18.14. llis education was received at Trinity College. Dublin, and he took his B.A. in 1855 and his LL.D. in 1884. He obtained the gold medal for oratory at Trinity College Historical Society, was called to the Irish Bar in 1858 und to the South Australian bar in 1870. He is a partner in the legal firm of Baker and Barlow He was the first registrar of the University of Adelaide, holding office from 1874 to 1882, and has been a member of the Council of the University since.
