Investigation of Hodge Lynching at Tyler Is Now Under Way.Tyler, Texas, June 22*—Judge Simp*son convened the district court thismorning ami the grand jury was era* l»iin» lied to investigate the lynchingof Jim fledge, the negro hanged on May I, The judges charge to the jury was strong and vigorous. The grand jury Is from different sections of Smith county, only two being from Tyler, and are mostly fanners. Six defendants are In jail charged with the lynching, and others are out on hon'd'. The jury begins work Immediately and a largo number of witnesses are summoned.
