Orancre Blossom for Perfumes.The orange blossom alone plays an important part in this and kindred manufactures, and furnishes the raw materials which are used in such man ufacturcd articles as pomades, fatty oils, essential oils and distilled waters, and are in demand not only by per fumers. but soap makers and druggists and manufacturing chemists. And just here is a very important advantage which Florida enjoys over France, as Moulie points out. The height of the bloom in Florida is in March, while in France it is not until May, two months later. Hence, before the orange blossom is ready for the French manufacturer our Florida manufacturer can place on the market with arti cles as those enumerated above, or furnish to the northern market the same materials, fresh and pure; for these and other articles, while the French products cannot be safely im-i' ported before the return of cool weath • I er in the fall.-1 Distilled water from the sweet or angc blossom has a greater value and commands twice or three times the price of that distilled from the Big* rade orange dower of F-urope; “and,” says E. Moulie, “I do not believe I 11 am saying too much in affirming that the distilled sweet orange flower water from Florida would find a ready market in Paris.”—Helen Harcourt, in T.-U.
