Jon Hall, an all sports coach at Baltic High School the past year, resigned to become assistant football and basketball coach at Conneaut. Alonzo Zinken, president-elect of the West Lafayette Rotary Club, reviewed the In ternational Rotary convention at Tokyo, at the weekly meeting. 25 Years Ago June 22, 1946 The Fresno confectionery had just opened in that village by George Drakulich. Newcomerstown Marshal Elmer Marhover was ill at his home on Canal St. W. Dwight Darling, son of Mrs. Emily Darling, Warsaw, was to resume his duties as superintendent of the Crooksville schools. He had been in the Armed Forces since 1942. 35 Years Ago Tune 22, 1936 The Heller Brothers Foreman’s Club at Newcomerstown planned the annual family July 25 at Meyer's Lake at Canton. Plans to organize an adult softball league for the rest of the summer were announced by T. E. Edwards of the WPA playground program. A crowd estimated at 250 attended the 16th annual West Carlisle homecoming. Dana Porter was elected president of the organization. 50 Years Ago Tune 22, 1921 The Blue Ridge at Orange hadeen reorganized and 51 candidates were to be initiated into the Orange Thursday night. Three well broken bank mules were ad vertised for sale by a Conesville area resident. The 34th annual convention of the Wooster istrict Epworth League was to be held Thursday at the Conesville Methodist Church. Delegates were to attend from Millersburg, Killbuck, Warsaw, Mohawk, New Guilford, Keene and Trinway.
