Peter Kestel Dies At 88Peter P, Kestel, 88, member -of a pioneer family of New Lenox township, died Monday, June 19, on the farm where he was born and lived his entire life.He was bom April 28, 1873, the son of Michael and Ursula Kestel. Mr. Kestel spent his life farming, only ceasing last September when he decided it was time for him to retire.Besides his wife, Louise, nee Ruettiger, Mr. Kestel is survived by three sons, Raymond, Lawrence, and Edward, all of New Lenox; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Kathryn) Kennedy, of Wilmington and Mrs, Walter (Elsie) Baskervllle, of Manhattan; one sister, Mrs, Elizabeth See, Chicago and 11 grandchildren.Removal was to the Basker-ville chapel, U, S, 30, New Lenox, where the rosary was said last night at 8 o’clock. Funeral services were held today (Thursday) with a solemn requiem high mass in St. Jude’s church at 9:30 o’clock, with the Rev. Fautin Klink, O.F.M., officiating. Interment was in St. John’s Cemetery, Clement anc Ruby streets, Joliet.
